Privacy policy for “Your story”
1. why this data protection information?
The protection of personal data is an important concern for us. Our activities are carried out in accordance with the applicable legislation on the protection of personal data and data security. This data protection notice provides you with information on how we handle information that you share with us when you send us a message by e-mail about our “Your story” call on the subject of sexual harassment.
2 What is personal data?
Personal data is all information about your identity, such as your name and e-mail address.
3. do I have to provide personal data when participating in “Your story” and how will it be processed?
You are free to decide whether and what information you provide to us by sending us an e-mail to deinegeschichte@ufa.de by writing to us. We store this personal data solely for journalistic purposes and insofar as we are obliged to do so for legal reasons. Due to the transmission by e-mail, your e-mail address and the content of your message will be known to us and stored for the duration of our above-mentioned call until the publication of our video and then deleted.
You are responsible for the information in your message. Therefore, please ensure that you only send us true experiences and only such personal data of third parties that you yourself are authorized to send to us based on the consent of the third party, otherwise please refrain from providing personal information (in particular names and other information on the identity of persons) about other persons – such information is not necessary and may not be used in the video anyway.
By sending the e-mail to deinegeschichte@ufa.de you agree that your information will be used to develop an anonymized story (i.e. it will not contain any personal data and may also be shortened for the purpose of anonymization and the content may be alienated/summarized/edited in other ways). We will produce and publish a video on the topic of sexual harassment in which actors will retell these anonymized stories in order to address your experiences.
Your e-mail to deinegeschichte@ufa.de can only be viewed by the members of our editorial team who are responsible for producing the “Your Story” video. The editorial team reserves the right to select the submitted testimonials for the video to be produced and therefore cannot consider all submissions.
4. what rights do you have regarding your data?
You have the right to receive information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data free of charge at any time. You also have the right to request the rectification or erasure of your personal data. If you have given your consent to data processing, you can revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future. You can send your revocation in writing to UFA SERIAL DRAMA GmbH, keyword “Deine Geschichte”/Datenschutz, Dianastr. 21, 14482 Potsdam or by e-mail to datenschutz.usd@ufa.de. Our employees are obliged to maintain confidentiality.
