Cologne/Berlin, 20.11.2025. It is a milestone in the history of Cirque du Soleil: with “ALIZÉ”, Cirque du Soleil and Live Nation are bringing the first permanent resident show to Europe from fall 2025. The world premiere takes place today at the Theater am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. RTL will be showing the documentary “Cirque du Soleil: ALIZÉ – The Magic Behind the Invisible” produced by UFA Documentary on Friday, November 28 at 11:15 pm.

Ralf Jühe, Executive Director UFA Documentary: “Cirque du Soleil stands for creativity, perfection and boundless imagination. With our documentary, we want to show viewers how much passion and precision is behind a show that inspires millions of people. We are delighted to be able to accompany the development of this unique production from the first rehearsals to the world premiere.”

The documentary follows the spectacular journey from the first rehearsals in Montréal to the glittering premiere evening in the German capital. It shows how a show is created that not only sets new standards artistically, but also organizationally. The focus is on the people behind ALIZÉ: artists who push the limits of what is physically possible and a creative team that creates a completely new world under enormous time pressure.

Parallel to the rehearsals in Montréal, the Theater am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin is being converted for Europe’s first permanent Cirque du Soleil show – a mammoth logistical task that reaches its climax with the arrival of the artists and the first joint rehearsals. All with one goal: the historic world premiere of ALIZÉ.

“Cirque du Soleil: ALIZÉ – The Magic Behind the Invisible” is produced by UFA Documentary on behalf of RTL. The documentary can be seen on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 11:15 p.m. on RTL.
