Potsdam, June 15, 2023. The TV series adaptation of “Save Me” has been given its official title: MAXTON HALL – THE WORLD BETWEEN US. Prime Video and UFA Fiction announced this today at the Seriencamp in Cologne. The six-part German Original Series is based on the first part of Mona Kasten’s award-winning, bestselling “Save Me” trilogy. MAXTON HALL – THE WORLD BETWEEN US is being produced by UFA Fiction for Prime Video and will be available exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 territories in early 2024.

An explosive secret changes everything

At the heart of *MAXTON HALL – THE WORLD BETWEEN US* is scholarship recipient Ruby Bell, who comes from a modest background and is working toward her lifelong dream at the elite Maxton Hall Private College: studying at Oxford University. Her carefully ordered world is suddenly turned upside down when she unwittingly becomes a witness to an explosive secret that puts her squarely in the crosshairs of the overprivileged and arrogant student James Beaufort. The handsome heir to a fashion empire tries to buy Ruby’s silence. And although the two come from different worlds, they soon risk everything to be together. But can they truly bridge the chasm that separates them?

Martin Schreier (TRAUMFABRIK) and Tarek Roehlinger (UN ÉTAT D’URGENCE) directed MAXTON HALL – THE WORLD BETWEEN US. The lead roles are played by Harriet Herbig-Matten (BIBI & TINA – THE SERIES) as Ruby and Damian Hardung (CLUB DER ROTEN BÄNDER) as James. Other roles are played by, among others, Sonja Weißer (TATORT) as Lydia, Ben Felipe (DER PASS) as Cyril, Fedja van Huêt (OVERSPEL) as Mortimer, Runa Greiner (FACK JU GÖHTE) as Ember, Justus Riesner as Alistair Ellington, Govinda Cholleti (ENCOUNTERS) as Keshav Patel, and Esmael Agostinho (OSTFRIESENMOOR) as Wren Fitzgerald.
