New jury, new voices, strong start: DEUTSCHLAND SUCHT DEN SUPERSTAR got off to a successful start on Holy Saturday, April 4. With a very good 11.1 percent market share among 14 to 59-year-olds, DSDS got off to a successful start in the new season. DSDS also impressed among 14 to 49-year-olds with a good 11.9 percent market share and was the most successful primetime show among all broadcasters in the young target group. A total of 1.58 million viewers tuned in (MA: 8.5 %), with up to 2.06 million viewers tuning in at peak times.
The cult casting show is presenting itself with a new jury consisting of Dieter Bohlen, Bushido and Isi Glück as well as a revised casting concept. For the first time, each episode will depict a complete casting day – from the arrival of the talent to the final jury decision. Whoever impresses is allowed into the “Golden Room” and fights for a place in the next round.
With a daily market share of 8.4 percent among 14- to 59-year-olds and 9.8 percent among 14- to 49-year-olds, RTL was ahead of its competitors on Saturday.
