The first episode of season 4: “Why do we have to die – or not?”
Living long and healthy: What science knows about ageing and how researchers are trying to beat death. In the current season, KETTENREAKTION reports once a month on the latest findings from longevity research and the six-month self-experiment in which Sabine and Dirk Steffens want to rejuvenate themselves. This episode deals with the question of why death exists at all and what happens in our bodies when we age.
What listeners can look forward to in future episodes:
In the next few episodes, we will always return to the main topic of “Longevity” and explain surprising connections from nature in the usual way, such as what our palm oil consumption is doing to Indonesia’s forests and what the German TÜV has to do with it, or the question of what volcanoes have to do with successful agriculture.
