European Film Academy appoints Nina Haun as Principal of the Casting Chapter

The European Film Academy announced the principals of its eight chapters yesterday: Among them is Nina Haun, who takes over the Casting Chapter. With this appointment, the European Film Academy recognizes Nina Haun's outstanding work and her international reputation in the film industry.

The Principals appointed by the European Film Academy Board of Directors act as ambassadors and representatives of their respective disciplines. They help to strengthen networking between members, increase the visibility of their discipline and promote the further integration of the European film community. The role of chapter principal is honorary and recognizes outstanding artistic achievements.

As one of the most influential casting directors in Germany, Nina Haun has been involved in numerous award-winning productions. These include many of our UFA formats such as the KU’DAMM and MAXTON HALL series, DAS GESCHENK, WHERE’S WANDA?, EMIL UND DIE DETEKTIVE or EIN STARKES TEAM. Nina Haun has also worked on numerous national and international projects outside of UFA, including SILENT FRIEND by Ildikó Enyedi (Casting Germany), TRIANGLE OF SADNESS by Ruben Östlund (Casting Germany), SPENCER by Pablo Larraín (Casting Germany), TONI ERDMANN by Maren Ade and VIER MINUTEN by Chris Kraus. Her latest project VATERLAND, starring Sandra Hüller, will soon be screening in competition at the Cannes International Film Festival.
