But what is the CREATOR COLLEGE exactly?

The CREATOR COLLEGE is a unique support program for content creators, which is taking place for the fourth time this year. In the CREATOR COLLEGE, web video creators learn everything about being a creator from experienced experts and established creators! Whether technical know-how, growth strategies, insider knowledge of platforms or work-life strategies – all relevant topics for creators are covered in the college.

The CREATOR COLLEGE is a project of GATZKE.MEDIA and is funded by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, which is awarding 12 scholarships to content creators from Germany this year.

UFA is a partner this year and is offering three additional UFA scholarships for content producers for the first time. These consist of a traineeship at the UFA Academy – which offers you a unique opportunity to gain a foothold in the media business – and participation in the CREATOR COLLEGE Bootcamp.

UFA Academy Traineeship 2023

In the UFA Academy Traineeship, you will develop and write content ideas, plot with other writers in the virtual Writers Room, write story scripts and contribute to the development of existing characters. In addition, you will be involved in the social media strategies of our formats and if you are interested in other areas within a production: let’s talk about!

As one of three trainees, you will start your traineeship as a Content Producer directly after the selection process on July 24, 2023. Together with our writers and producers, you will go into a digital creative space to work on a format together. From late summer, we will then be happy to take you into production.

THE BOOTCAMP

A special highlight of the UFA scholarship will be your participation in the CREATOR COLLEGE boot camp at the end of August. Over 7 days at Phantasialand, you will fine-tune your story scripts together with UFA, Jonas Ems & Jonas Wuttke and also benefit from the boot camp’s supporting program. You will not only have the opportunity to take part in numerous seminars, workshops, panels and practical exercises with established creators (m/f/d), but also to fine-tune the content previously developed in the traineeship. The bootcamp concludes on 31.08.2023 with the legendary college party with up to 150 guests before you move on to production – so be curious to see what happens next.

The CREATOR COLLEGE 2023 will then end on 09.09.2023 with Creator Connect – a great networking event for Creators!

APPLICATION:

Step 1: Make a creative video of max. 2 minutes in length and show us:

• Who are you?
• What topics are you passionate about?
• What are your top 3 favorite content creators?
• What interests you about writing and development?

Step 2: Upload your YouTube video as “unlisted” or “public” on your channel and leave it online until at least August 31, 2023 so that we can retrieve it.

Step 3: Use the application form, fill it out completely and, above all, remember to enter the link to your application video in the field provided.

Please check that you meet all the requirements for the application and participation before submitting.

PREREQUISITES:

• You are at least 18 years young
• You live in Germany, Austria or Switzerland
• You are an active creator (m/f/d), i.e. you have experience in co-creating web video content
• You are at home on YouTube, Instagram or TikTok with your own profile and are well versed in pop culture topics on social media
• You can be available to start your traineeship remotely from July 24, 2023
• Nothing stands in the way of your participation in the Bootcamp (25.-31.08.2023), the College Party (31.08.2023) and the Creator Connect (09.09.2023) in NRW in terms of time, physically and mentally
• Your application is complete and you submit it on time by June 18, 2023

SCHEDULE

• Application by June 18
• Start of the traineeship from July 24 (remote)

• College Party on August 31
• Production of the formats after the boot camp
• Creator Connect of the CREATOR COLLEGE on September 09
• Continuation of the traineeship (duration as agreed with you)
