Mastermind Bernhard Hoëcker and quizmaster Elton are the team leaders in the knowledge game WHO KNOWS WHAT? produced by UFA Show & Factual. Each supported by a celebrity guest, the team leaders face the unbelievable, amusing and surprising questions from presenter Kai Pflaume. The aim is to answer exciting and bizarre questions from science, the animal world and everyday life in order to win as much money as possible. The way to get there is via a large, interactive game wall with 12 categories that hide questions such as: What is so special about a Finnish passport? What happens when you mix milk with cola? According to a scientific study, why are men not good at listening to women?

Both teams play for cash for their supporters, because at the beginning of the show the viewers in the studio have to make a decision: Will they side with mastermind Bernhard Hoëcker or quizmaster Elton? At the end, the winning team’s prize is divided among the studio viewers who guessed correctly. The show is hosted by Kai Pflaume, who always keeps an eye on the central theme of the show and ensures a tongue-in-cheek dynamic between himself and the team captains. A clever 45 minutes to relax, guess, laugh and learn.

The answers are presented to the viewers in amusing clips or, if necessary, Kai Pflaume himself reaches into the experiment box to solve the question live in the studio: Incidentally, milk becomes transparent, the Finnish passport hides a flipbook with a running moose and it really has nothing to do with a lack of interest when men don’t listen to women, they simply can’t perceive high frequencies very well.

WHO KNOWS SOMETHING LIKE THAT? started on July 6, 2015 on the first channel. Since then, the quiz has become an integral part of ARD’s early evening program. The 10th season of WER WEISS DENN SOWAS? was more popular with viewers than ever before. The market share increased again with an average of 19.6 percent, surpassing the previous season’s high of 19.0 percent.
